THE STORY OF SIREN TEARS

The sea has always carried stories.

SIREN TEARS takes its name from the ancient image of the siren — a figure of the sea, beautiful, mysterious, and impossible to forget.

And tears are what the sea leaves behind.

A drop of water. A trace of salt. A stone shaped by years of tide and weather.

For us, SIREN TEARS is a meeting of these two ideas: the siren represents beauty with a quiet strength; the tears represent memory, emotion, and the traces that time leaves behind.

It is a name for pieces that are not simply worn, but collected as part of a life.

SIREN TEARS began on the southern coast of New Zealand, where the ocean, changing light and weathered stone became part of our visual language.

We work slowly with natural stones and a small circle of skilled stone cutters and goldsmiths, allowing the character of each material to remain visible rather than forcing it into perfection.

Every stone carries its own colour, texture and history. Every piece is made to be kept.

A bracelet worn on ordinary mornings. A ring kept for a particular chapter. A piece passed from one person to another, gathering meaning along the way.

We believe jewellery should do more than complete an outfit.

It should hold something.

A place. A memory. A version of you that existed once, and will never exist in quite the same way again.
