The Stone

Two blues of the sea meet in this piece. At its heart is Brazilian blue topaz, begun as natural colourless topaz and enhanced by irradiation and gentle heat to a clear, permanent sky blue. Around it bloom pear-cut aquamarines — natural and untreated — whose name means "water of the sea". All stones are of collector's grade and fully eye-clean.

The Piece

A blue topaz pendant that opens like a flower beneath the waves. A 14 × 10 mm oval of eye-clean Brazilian topaz is surrounded by a ring of cubic zirconia and a bloom of pear-cut aquamarine petals. Handcrafted and hand-set in 925 sterling silver on a twisted rope chain, Sea Bloom is generous, luminous and full of light. One of one.
