Kunzite is one of the most romantic stones in the mineral world, named after the gemmologist George Kunz of Tiffany & Co., who first described it in 1903. Its soft pink-violet colour shifts gently depending on the angle of light, and the finest beads show a natural cat's-eye effect — a band of silky light that glides across the surface.
